Target Audience 

This activity is designed for nephrologists, cardiologists, intensive care specialists, internists, and other practicing health care professionals who desire an update on pathogenesis and treatment of kidney diseases, hypertension, end stage renal failure, critical care nephrology, vascular access, and related conditions. 

Program Objectives 

After completing this activity, the participant will be able to do the following:

  • Apply the most recent evidence to the diagnosis and treatment of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. 
  • Critically analyze the research on the pathogenesis and management of acute kidney injury. 
  • Discuss the pathogenesis of various glomerular diseases and summarize the most up to date recommendations on their management in clinical practice. 
  • Summarize vascular access challenges in hemodialysis patients and learn novel strategies and techniques to manage them 
  • Describe the management strategies for assessing and treating various kidney diseases.
